Reaching to another milestone in the path of extending the helping hands to uplift the level of education of downtrodden children of low-income families in a remote area of Ampara district, a mega project of renovating and painting all the buildings and other infrastructure facilities of Ampara Vadinagala Vidyalaya, which has a very long years of history, was come into light on 04 and 05 November 2023, under the guidance and coordination of General Officer Commanding of the 24 Infantry Division Major General W Chandrasiri RSP USp psc.
The project was initiated with the assistance of a Sri Lankan well wisher who donated the paints worth of Rs.3.5 Lakh which was sufficed to complete the whole buildings of the school giving a better outlook and a new appearance for the surroundings. Troops from 14 SLSR, 18 VIR, 11 (V) SLSR, 8, 11 and 16 SLNG and ESR troops from 24 Infantry Division along with the parents of the students were tremendously contributed to make this effort a success within two days.
