On the direction of General Officer Commanding 24 Division, Major General Mahinda Mudalige RWP RSP, Inmates at the Sarana Elders Home - Ampara were hosted delicious lunch with the participation of 8 Officers together with 30 Other Ranks in order to celebrate the customs and tradition of Sinhala and Tamil New Year on 14 April 2018.
Altogether 35 adults enjoyed the lunch and interacted with the troops while exchanging their good old memories. Entire inmates and the working staff were offered valuable gifts from their relatives at the end of the session. Some parents emotionally expressed their memories which they had with their own children during the old New Year days.
Finally, programme was ended with the calypso music played by the troops of 16 SLNG with the performances of inmates with dancing and singing session.
