TROOPS OF 23 SLSR PRODUCED ORGANIC FERTILIZER RELEASED

Giving a boost to the Government's Organic Fertilizer Production Process as per the directions of the Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army General Shavendra Silva, a stock of organic fertilizer produced by the troops of the 23 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment was released to ‘Ceylon Fertilizer Company Limited' (Lak Pohora) at the Headquarters premises of 23 SLSR in Pothuvil on Saturday (19).

The General Officer Commanding 24 Infantry Division, Brigadier Saliya Amunugama graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and symbolically handed over the 51,420 Kg of compost fertilizer to the District Marketing Executive of ‘Ceylon Fertilizer Company Limited in Ampara district’, Mr Sritharan Vinothan.

Commander of 242 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Chandika Peris, Commanding Officer of 23 SLSR,Officers and Other Ranks of 23 SLSR and officers of Ceylon Fertilizer Company Limited were also present at the occasion.
