Troops of the 15th Sri Lanka Light Infantry rescued a group of civilians who were stranded in the flood-affected Kalarappu village due to severe flooding caused by adverse weather conditions.

A group of 15 civilians (06 males, 04 females, and 05 children) who were affected by the floods in Kalarappu village following heavy rains, within the area of responsibility of the 223 Infantry Brigade Headquarters of the 22 Infantry Division under SFHQ (E), were rescued on 30.11.2025 by a 02×15 team of the 15th Sri Lanka Infantry Regiment. The rescued civilians were safely relocated to secure areas.
