TROOPS OF THE 15TH SRI LANKA INFANTRY BATTALION RESCUED A GROUP OF FLOOD-AFFECTED CIVILIANS IN THE VILLAGE OF RALKULI, KANDALADIUTHTHU, WHO WERE TRAPPED IN FLOOD WATERS CAUSED BY ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS.

A troops of 00X04 The 15th Sri Lanka Infantry Regiment, under the guidance of The General Officer Commanding the 22 Infantry Division, Major General H.D.L.S. Lalith Perera RWP RSP ndc, actively took part in The rescue operation of 36 civilians who were stranded in the flood-affected village of Ralkuli, Kandaladiuththu, due to heavy rains in The 223 Infantry Brigade Headquarters area of The 22 Infantry Division under the control of SFHQ (E) AOR.

Accordingly, the troops of The 15th Sri Lanka Infantry Regiment, with great difficulty, rescued the group of civilians and relocated them to safe locations.
