In conjunction with the 78th Independence Day celebrations, a tree planting programme was conducted on 04 February 2026 from 0800 hrs to 0930 hrs at the 23 Division Camp premises, with the participation of about 15 x 30 troops assigned to the 23 Infantry Division Headquarters, who planted 20 cashew and 20 mee plants (Madhuca longifolia).
This programme was conducted under the supervision of the Deputy General Officer Commanding, 23 Infantry Division, Major General D S K Perera RSP ndc, Senior Officer and Senior Officers participated in the event.
