TRAINING ON SEARCH AND RESCUE ON DISASTER MANAGEMENT IN 22 DIV AOR
As per a concept of the Comd SF (E) Maj Gen KMU Wijeratne USP ndu and with the intention of enhancing the preparedness of troops on Search and Rescue, a training course on Disaster Management was successfully conducted for the troops of 22 VIR and 2 (V) GR Bns UC to 22 Div. Troops had the opportunity to undergo a training under the following modules;\r\n\r\na. Introduction, fire fighting and first aid package at 23 Div.\r\nb. Waterman ship package at Eng Sch (Embilipitiya).\r\nc. Basic skill development package at CRTS (Uwakudaoya).\r\n\r\nCertificates Awarding Ceremony of 2 (V) GR platoon was held at HQ 2 (V) GR on 02 Jun 16 and certificates were awarded by Comd 221 Bde Brig API Fernando USP. In the meantime Comd 222 Bde Col DMDKB Pussella RWP RSP awarded the certificates among two platoons of 22 VIR on 31 May 2016 at Bn Training School - Thavulwewa. Altogether three platoons in 22 Div AOR have successfully completed the training on Search and Rescue skills by 02 Jun 2016.\r\n
