THIRD ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF 24 DIVISION AMPARA
Task Force – 3 was re designated as 24 Division on 27 November 2013 and HQ 24 Division celebrated its third anniversary on 27 Nov 2016 with several events under the guidance of GOC 24 Div Brig LM Mudalige RWP RSP ndu.\r\n\r\nA Guard turn out and Guard of Honour accorded to the GOC on the anniversary day followed by all ranks lunch at the ORs’ mess of HQ 24 Div.\r\n Coincide with anniversary celebrations following events were conducted by HQ 24 Div.\r\n\r\na. Blood donation campaign and overnight Pirith Chanting at HQ 24 Div on 24 Nov 2016.\r\nb. Alms giving ceremony for 24 Buddhist Clergies in the morning and special pooja at PuulleyarKovil at Mallwatta on 25 Nov 2016.\r\nc. Special Muslim religious ceremony on rituals at Jumma Mosque, Malwatta and Holy mass at St Ignatius Church in Ampara.\r\nd. Opening of newly constructed main kitchen for ORs on 27 Nov 2016.\r\n
