In a remarkable display of community spirit and solidarity, the headquarters of the 24 Infantry Division at Malwatta hosted a blood donation program with the participation of the under-command Brigade and Battalions, along with the invaluable assistance of Regional Blood Center Ampara District Hospital. The event, held on 19 May 2024, saw an impressive turnout of both civilians and military personnel, underscoring the commitment of the division to serve not only in the classic role and task but also in the humanitarian arena. The blood donation drive witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 26 civilians, 6 officers, and 90 soldiers from the 24 Infantry Division.
Leading the initiative was the guidance and supervision of Major General WLAC Perera, RWP RSP USP, the esteemed General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 24 Infantry Division.
