SUBMISSION OF ACTIVITY REPORT DETAILS – CHILDREN’S DAY PROGRAMME

The 15th Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry organized by the Children’s day programme for the children’s studying in Gothami Pre School at Galmatiyawa under the guidance of Commanding Officer 15th Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry Lieutenant Colonel K.G.R.N. Kumara RWP RSP USP SLLI. According to that programme we provided lunch and gifts to the pre school students and it was held on 01.10.2025 at the Raja Maha Viharaya in Galmatiyawa.

In parallel with this programme, various activities were organized by the pre school teacher and parents of the pre school such as kite flying, making paper boats and floating them in the water, playing cricket, singing songs and dancing events. The invited guests for the opening ceremony included the Chief Incumbent of the Galmetiyawa Purana Raja Maha Viharaya venerable Jayapura Jinarathana Thero, the Commanding Officer 15th Sri Lanka Light Infantry Lt Col KGRN Kumara RWP RSP USP SLLI and the Second In Command 15th Sri Lanka Light Infantry Maj MAGA Nilanga SLLI.

Also at the end of the various activities for the children, all the children were taken to the ancient Galmatiyawa Raja Maha Viharaya and lunch was served and gifts prepared by all ranks of this unit were presented to the pre school students. 15 SLLI troops 01×10 was made to participate in order to successfully complete this task.
