The Security Forces Headquarters (East) conducted a school stationery distribution programme on 27 December 2025 for students of Vijaya Parakrama Kanishtha Vidyalaya in the Kalukale area of the Dimbulagala Divisional Secretariat.
The programme was initiated under the conceptual guidance of the Commander, Security Forces (East), Major General J.S.B.W. Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndu psc, and organized under the supervision of the General Officer Commanding, 23 Infantry Division, Major General G.P.P. Kulathilakandu.
The event was conducted by the Commander, 231 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier S.D.K.W.M.M.I. Weliwita RWP RSP USP psc, with the support of Major A.C.W. Gunasekara RSP, Commanding Officer, 12th Battalion, The Gemunu Watch, and his troops.
The stationery items were provided with the generous financial support of the Melwa Group (Pvt) Ltd and the Wide Vision Organization. Cultural performances by students added colour to the occasion.
Senior Officers, Officers, and troops of the 12th Battalion, The Gemunu Watch, were present at the event.
