On the concept and guidance of Major General Sujeewa Hettiarachchi, the Commander, Security Forces - East, organized a "jack fruit and manioc Dansala" in Walikanda town by the Security Force Headquarters - East troops on the Poson Poya day morning hours.
Nearly 1500 crowd, living in the Walikanda area and traveled persons on the Polonnaruwa - Batticaloa road enjoyed the "jack fruit and manioc Dansala". Jack fruit and manioc were locally collected from the area for the "Dansala with support of the devoted people. On the night of the Poson Poya day show offed four marvelous Poson lanterns created by troops of the General Staff Branch, Admin Branch, Log Branch, and Garrison Engineers - Walikanda of the Security Force Headquarters - East.
Major General Sujeewa Hettiarachchi, the Commander, Security Forces - East inaugurates the "Dansala" in the morning and lights up the Poson lanterns in the evening at Poson Poya day. All staff officers and other ranks of the Security Force Headquarters - East were hands together to successfully the event.
