The finals of the Inter Division Kabbadi Tournament - 2019 of Security Forces (East) was held at Polonnaruwa Sports Complex on Saturday (10) with the presence of Major General Aruna Jayasekara, Commander Security Forces (East) as the Chief Guest. The tournament was held between 20 July to 05 August that included10 matches with 05 teams competing for supremacy.
The Chief Guest was welcomed by Major General Kapila Udalupola, General Officer Commanding 23 Division and conducted to the pavilion before finalists were introduced to the Commander Security Forces (East).
Kabbadi teams of 22 Division and FMA (E) contested in the finals in an impressive manner but 22 Division players after neck to neck encounter secured victory to 55 – 30 qualifying to claim the Championship for the year.
At the end, Commander Security Forces (East) awarded trophies to the winners. With an enormous interest, Major General Nevil Weerasinghe, General Officer Commanding 22 Division, Major General IOW Madola Commander FMA (E), Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks witnessed the finals.
