On the conceptual guidance of Commanders Security Forces (East), Major General SA Kulatunge RWP RSP VSV USP psc, troops of Security Forces Headquarters (East), organized a "Boiled Jack, Chickpea and Manioc Dansala" in Walikanda town on the Poson Poya day morning hours.
Nearly 5000 people, living in the Walikanda area and traveling on the Polonnaruwa- Batticaloa road benefited from this noble program. Required items for the Dansala were locally collected with the help of the troops serving at the Security Forces Headquarters (East). Further, four magnificent Poson lanterns made by troops of the General Staff Branch, Admin Branch, Log Branch, and Garrison Engineers - Walikanda added glamour to Poson day.
Major General SA Kulatunge RWP RSP VSV USP the Commander, Security Forces - East inaugurated the "Dansala" and staff officers and other ranks of the Security Forces Headquarters – East attended the event.
