SECURITY FORCE (EAST) TROOPS JOINS TO CLEAN UP EASTERN COASTAL BELT
Coinciding with the island-wild program to clean up the coastal belt on account of the World Coastal cleanup Day, the Security Force Headquarters East launched campaign to clean the eastern coastal belt under the supervision of Commander SF (E) Major General NJ Walgama RSP USP ndu psc on 22 September 2015. \r\n\r\nMore than 900 troops from 22 Division, 23 Division and 24 Division were participated to clan the Nilaveli, Lankapatuna and Kinniya Beaches in Trinconalee District, Kallady, Kadirawelli in Batticaloa District and Kalmunai, Pottuvil, Arugam bay in Ampara District covering the Eastern coastal belt in Sri lanka. About 145 km distance costal area was cleaned.
