Secretary Defence General (Retd) Kamal Gunarathna together with Secretary to Ministry of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs, General Officer Commanding 24 Infantry Division Major General Chaminda Lamahewa, Director General Civil Security Department Major General Ranjan Lamahewa (Retd), Military Liaison Officer Major General Dinesh Nanayakkara, Deputy Inspector General of Police in Ampara Mr Senevirathna, Director General of Archaeology Professor Anura Manathunga, Buddhist Media Channel Chairman Ven Boralande Vajira Gnana Thero and Senior Officers from SLN, SLAF and Police on Friday 15 of October 2021 made an inspection visit to the Deegawappiya Stupa restoration project.
