As a part of the community development projects carried out by the Sri Lanka Army, 224 Brigade, under the supervision of 22 Division organized a seminar for the students supposed to sit for GCE O/L exam in December at Pearl Grand Reception Hall Muthur on 20 Nov 2019.
With the guidance of General Officer Commanding 22 Division, Brigadier Prasanna Ediriweera, Commander 224 Brigade graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The distinguished invitees were welcomed by the students in their customary way and the invitees lighted the traditional oil lamp to mark the opening of the event. Further, welcome speech was delivered by one of the female students, who took part for this seminar and she appreciated the efforts made by Sri Lanka Army in order to enhance the knowledge of the students.
500 plus students participated in this seminar and Mr. N Vipulanantha Bsc (Maths) conducted this seminar on Mathematics subject. Further, Chief Incumbent of Kottiarama Mulamaha Viharaya, Kurukkal Sampoor Kovil, Priest of the Sacred Heart Church, CAO of 224 Inf Bde, CO 15 SLLI, Deputy Director Muthur Zonal Education Office, President and Secretary of Muthur Cricket Association and President of Muthur Trade Association participated for the event.
