With the guidance of Commander 24 Infantry Division Maj Gen WLAC Perera RWP RSP USP and the instruction and supervision of Commander 241 Infantry Brigade Brig LSDN Pathirathna RSP USP, the officers and other ranks of 241 Infantry Brigade organized a rice dansal program for the second time. This initiative aimed to emphasize the significance of Poson Poya and enhance cooperation and coordination between the Sri Lanka Army and civil society. The event was held on 21 June 2024, Poson Poya Day, in front of the 241 Infantry Brigade headquarters. Over 4,500 Sinhala, Tamil, and Muslim residents from Akkaraipattu and surrounding areas participated in the program and expressed high appreciation for the event.
