The opening ceremony of newly constructed Relics Mansion of Mailankarachchi Sri Mahindaraama Temple got underway on 27 and 28 March with the supervision of the Commander 233 Infantry Brigade Colonel RWK Hewage RWP RSP and the Commanding Officer of 6th Battalion, the Gajaba Regiment at the Temple premises. Concurrently, an All-night Pirith Chanting with the offering of ‘Heel Dana’ was held with the auspices of Mr. KP Thisera in Wadduwa who donated Rs. 1.6 million for this respectable event.
Sil Observance Programme also organized at the temple on Madin Full Moon Poya day with the participation of the people in the area.
