ONE MORE ARMY BUILT NEW HOUSE IN EAST HANDED OVER

One more newly constructed house was vested in a needy family by Security Force Headquarters (East) on Tuesday (12) in Batticaloa are with the supervision of 23 Infantry Division.

The house, built by Army troops of 4 Battalion of the Gemunu Watch under 231 Infantry Brigade was delivered to the recipient, Mr MMST Kumara Nandasena of Sippimadu, Unnachi during a simple ceremony headed by the Commander Security Force (East), Major General Channa Weerasuriya.

In addition to labor provided by the Army, funds for raw materials have been allocated by Cardiologist Surgeon Dr Muditha Lansakara following initiatives taken by the Security Force Headquarters (East).

Opening ceremony was attended by General Officer Commanding 23 Infantry Division, Major General Nalin Koswatta, Commander 231 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Dulipa Bandara, Commanding Officer 4 GW, Major Menaka Gunarathna, troops and a gathering of civilians living in the area.

Ultimately, certificates were distributed among the troops in appreciations of their generous contribution towards this worthy cause.
