NEWLY RENOVATED OFFICERS' ACCOMMODATION INAUGURATED AT 22 INFANTRY DIVISION

During a visit to the 22 Infantry Division Headquarters, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage, RWP RSP ndu, Commander of the Army, allocated funds to improve accommodation facilities for senior and junior Officers of 22 Infantry Division.

Under the guidance of Major General P.A.M Peiris, RSP USP psc, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 22 Infantry Division, the renovation work began on 18 June 2024. The project was successfully completed in two months, and the newly renovated officers' accommodation facility was inaugurated on 26 August 2024 by the GOC.

The facility can accommodate 20 officers and includes two fully equipped visitor rooms. During the event, the GOC expressed his appreciation for the service of the troops from the Corps of Engineer Services and the under-command Battalions who contributed to the successful renovation.
