NEWLY APPOINTED 24 INFANTRY DIVISION GOC ASSUMES THE DUTIES

Major General H C L Galappathti RSP USP assumed duties in a solemn yet ceremonious event, as the General Officer Commanding the 24 Infantry Division on 04 December 2024 amidst religious blessings.

The proceedings commenced according a Guard Turnout and Guard of Honor to the General Officer Commanding. Afterward, he placed his signature on an official document to mark his assumption of duties. Then he appeared in a group photograph and planted a sapling in the 24 Infantry Division compound marking his duty assumption in new appointment.

Addressing the troops, the General Officer Commanding the 24 Infantry Division emphasized the importance of professionalism, integrity, and operational excellence, before he participated in all ranks tea.

Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks of the Divisional Area attended the event.
