The Sewa Wanitha Branch of RHQ SLCMP, considering the living condition of an under privileged family in the general area of Girithale, a project was launched to erect a new shelter for them on the supervision of Lieutenant Colonel Rasadun Withanaarachchi - Commanding Officer - 2 SLCMP and under the guidance of the Commander Security Force (East) and Commander FMA(E).
The construction of the house which was fully accomplished with 3 rooms has been brought to completion with the assistance of 2 Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police.The capital investment to the construction was undertaken by Mr. Sonders and Mrs. Chamila Jayathilaka who reside in Canada. The 2 SLCMP efficient workforce led the construction and residence was handed over to the family by the Commanding Officer and the donors.
