THE NEW GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING OF 22 INFANTRY DIVISION ASSUMES DUTIES

Major General U.K.D.D.P Udugama RWP RSP USP ndc psc, officially assumed duties as the 31st General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 22 Infantry Division during a ceremonial event held at the division’s headquarters on 16 September 2024.

The new GOC was accorded military honours, including a Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour upon his arrival. Following the formalities, the Senior Officer marked the occasion by planting a sapling, symbolizing growth and continuity and later he addressed the gathered troops.

Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers, and the staff of the 22 Infantry Division were present at the occasion.
