NEW FMA- EAST COMMANDER TAKES OVER DUTIES

Brigadier Mahesh Abeyrathna recently assumed duties as the 33rd Commander of the Forward Maintenance Area-East (FMA- E) HQ of the Security Force Headquarters - East.

The newly-appointed Senior Officer on arrival at the HQ was honoured in a Guard Turnout at the entrance. After the troops of the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps awarded the salute to the new Commander, he planted a sapling inside the Headquarters premises and left memories.

Amid religious observances and ‘Pirith’ chanting, Brigadier Mahesh Abeyrathna placed his signature in an official document to signify the acceptance of the new office.

All Staff Officers, Commanding Officers, Officers and Other Ranks were present during the occasion.
