23 Infantry Division on Tuesday (24 Oct) laid a red carpet welcome to Major General Prasanna Gunaratne RSP ndu psc IG, the Commander, Security Forces - East when he as the Chief Guest arrived there to open the new ration store building of 440 Composite squadron Sri Lanka Army Service Corps. On the philosophy of the General Officer Commanding, 23 Infantry Division, Major General Nilantha Premaratne RSP USP psc, started the construction of a new ration store building for the 440 Composite squadron.
General Officer Commanding, 23 Infantry Division, Major General Nilantha Premaratne RSP USP psc extended a warm welcome to the Commander, Security Forces - East, offering a drive pass at the main entrance on arrival to the opening. The Eastern Commander, as the auspicious minute, cut a ribbon and entered the facility. Afterward, accomplished the opening ceremony with the simply refreshment arrangement.
Accompanied by the General Officer Commanding and staff officers of the 23 Infantry Division, the Eastern Commander, talking an interest in the whole project, afterward visited the facility and saw for himself how attractively and usefully the construction has been completed and in turn commended the staff officers and all ranks for acceleration of the project with advise to ensure proper maintaining of the facility. General Officer Commanding, staff officers and Other Ranks of 23 Infantry Division were associated with the opening ceremony.
