NEW COMMANDER SECURITY FORCES (EAST) ASSUMED DUTIES AS THE FIFTEENTH COMMANDER
Major General Nandana Senadeera WWV RWP RSP USP ndu, assumed duties as the Commander Security Forces – (East) on 29 March 2017, in accordance with military formalities. Newly appointed Comd SF (E), reviewed the Guard Turnout and received the salute of the Guard of Honour, presented by the troops of 10th Battalion the Gajaba Regiment after his arrival at SFHQ (E).\r\nInvocation of blessings of the Maha Sangha, chanting of Seth Pirith, and Buddhist rituals got underway at the office of the Comd SF (E), while signing the formal acceptance of his new appointment at an auspicious time.\r\n\r\nAfter assuming the duties, newly appointed Commander planted a ‘Mango’ sapling at the premises, before addressed the troops at the Security Force Headquarters lecture hall.\r\nConsequent to the troops address Comd SF (E) participated for an all ranks tea along with the GOCs, Comd FMA (E) Bde Comds, all Bn Comds and entire staff of SF HQ (E).\r\n\r\nPrior to his new appointment, Comd SF (E), Maj Gen Nandana Senadeera WWV RWP RSP USP ndu, held the appointment of GOC 11 Div – Kandy, and he had previously commanded 12 Div Hambanthota. \r\n
