NEW 231 BRIGADE COMMANDER BEGINS DUTIES

Colonel Vijitha Hettiarachchi assumed duties as the new Commander of the 231 Infantry Brigade, amid religious blessing at Brigade Headquarters in Kallady - Batticaloa on Saturday (01).

The newly appointed Brigade Commander was greeted to a Guard Turnout on arrival at entrance of the 231 Infantry Brigade.

To mark the memorable event, the new Brigade Commander planted a sapling in the Brigade Headquarters and addressed All Ranks.

Commanding Officers of under command Battalions and Staff Officers serving in the Brigade were present during the ceremony.
