Colonel SPG Gamage RWP RSP USP of Sri Lanka Engineers (SLE) assumed duties as the 6th officiating Commander of the 231 Infantry Brigade under the 23 Infantry Division of the Security Forces – East on Tuesday (22).
The newly – appointed officiating Brigade Commander was greeted to a Guard Turnout on arrival at entrance of the 231 Infantry Brigade.
To mark this memorable event, the new Brigade Commander planted a sapling in the Brigade Headquarters and addressed All Ranks before he participated in All Rank tea.
Commanding Officers of under Command Battalions and Staff Officers serving in the Brigade were present during the ceremony.
