MEDICAL EQUIPMENT ARE DISTRIBUTED AMONG MOST DESERVING HOSPITALS IN BATTICALOA

A stock of respiratory related medical equipment, gifted to General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff, Commander of the Army and Head, NOCPCO by the Sri Lankan Society in United States of America, was shared among the most deserving hospitals in Batticaloa under the supervision of the Commander Security Force (East) Major General Channa Weerasuriya.

The medical devices comprised of 10 liter Oxygen Concentrators, Re-breather Concentration Oxygen Masks (adult) and Pulse Oximeters were distributed among the Teaching Hospital Batticaloa, Base Hospital Kattankudy, Base Hospital Kalawanchikudy, Base Hospital Valachchenai and Base Hospital Eravur for the benefit of COVID patients. The equipment were symbolically handed over to the health officials by the Commanders of 231 and 233 Infantry Brigades.
