MAIDEN VISIT OF NEW COMMANDER SECURITY FORCES (EAST) TO 24 DIVISION
Major General Nandana Senadeera WWV RWP RSP USP ndu, the Commander Security Forces (East) marked his maiden visit to 24 Div on 07 and 08 April 2017 followed by assuming of duties as the Comd SF (E) . \r\n \r\nFirst day on 07 Apr 2017, Comd SF (E) arrived at HQ 24 Div and GOC 24 Div Brig Mahinda Mudalige RWP RSP ndu, welcomed and ushered the Comd SF (E).Visiting new SF Comd (E) was accorded with a Guard Turnout presented by the troops of 23 Sri Lanka Sinha Regt according to the military customs and traditions. Thereafter, Comd SF (E) planted a Mango sapling at HQ 24 Div premises as a symbol of memories.\r\n\r\nDuring the address of troops of 24 Div, Comd SF (E) urged them to continue the training and good work while maintaining highest standards of discipline at all levels. Concluding the events of the first day Comd SF (E) participated for an all ranks lunch at ORs Mess. \r\nOn 08 Apr 2017, Comd SF (E) visited to 241 and 242 Bdes and their under command Bns . During the second day visit Comd SF (E) was accorded with Guard Turnouts at the entrances of all respective venues and warmly welcomed by all the Bde Comds and Bn Comds with military customs and traditions and planted saplings and addressed the troops. All Bde Comds and Bn Comds had a opportunity to discuss the matters pertaining to admin aspects, operational needs, welfare measures and basic requirements of troops with the Comd SF (E) during this two day field visit. \r\nThe Comd SF (E) left a complementary remark in the visitors’ book in respective Bde and Bn HQs.\r\n
