LAKPADURA ST. MARY’S CHURCH CLEANING CAMPAIGN CONDUCTED BY 3(V) BATTALION VIJAYABAHU INFANTRY REGIMENT AND 3(V) SRI LANKA WOMEN’S CORPS

The 3(V) Battalion of the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment and the 3(V) Sri Lanka Women’s Corps jointly conducted a cleaning campaign at the Lakpadura St. Mary’s Church in Muthugala, demonstrating their commitment to religious and community welfare.

The campaign was held from 24 July to 10 August 2025 at the Sandunpura Lakpadura St. Mary’s Church. During the program, troops actively engaged in cleaning the church premises, ensuring a serene and pleasant environment for worshippers.

This initiative reflects the regiments’ continued dedication to supporting religious institutions and fostering goodwill within the community. A total of 3 officers and 20 other ranks from the 3(V) Battalion Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, along with 1 officer and 10 other ranks from the 3(V) Sri Lanka Women’s Corps, participated in the program.
