The Batticaloa Civil Society Committee (BCSC) conducted a certificate presentation ceremony on 28 December 2025 at the premises of the International University of Science and Technology, Punani, awarding certificates to 200 students who successfully completed 12-month diploma courses.
The Commander, Security Forces (East), Major General J.S.B.W. Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndupsc, and the General Officer Commanding, 23 Infantry Division, Major General J.P.P. Kulathilakandu, participated in the ceremony as Guests of Honour.
Certificates were formally awarded to students who completed diploma programmes in various subject areas, marking a significant milestone in their academic careers.
The ceremony was attended by members of the University Administration Board, academic and non-academic staff, parents of the students, and a large number of invited guests.
