HEAD OF THE ICRC DELEGATION IN COLOMBO PAYS COURTESY CALL ON COMMANDER SECURITY FORCE - EAST

Major General Sujeewa Hetiarachchi Commander, Security Forces – East met Ms. Severine Chappaz, Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Delegation in Colombo, and assistant officer (ICRC) Delegation in Colombo, at the Security Force Headquarters - East on Wednesday (16).

Furthermore, the meeting was scheduled to exchange views of mutual interest. Sri Lanka Army is closely collaborating with the ICRC in order to promote and protect the Human Rights and the International Humanitarian Law.

Towards the end of the cordial discussions, Commander Security Forces – East symbolized the goodwill by presenting mementos to International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) delegates and she made a complimentary note in the Visitors' Book before departure from the Security Forces Headquarters (East) the gestures were reciprocated. Senior Officers and Officers of the Security Forces Headquarters (East) were also attended with the occasion.
