To support the country’s drive to ensure food security, the 23 Infantry Division cultivated 50 acres of paddy during the “Maha Season” with the direction of Commander Security Forces (East), Major General Sujeewa Hettiarachchi, and the supervision of General Officer Commanding 23 Infantry Division, Major General Shewanth Kulatunge.
The General Officer Commanding of 23 Infantry Division, Major General Shewanth Kulatunge ceremoniously commenced harvesting the paddy at auspicious time after observing religious rituals on Thursday (February 09). Officers and Other Ranks of Headquarters 23 Infantry Division have participated to the occasion.
