Under the noble vision of His Excellency The President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, and as a part of the Clean Sri Lanka national program steps to improve education. One such step is upgrading schools to help students learn better and think more clearly. In this context, the “B” Company of the 4th Battalion the Gemunu Watch, under 232 infantry beigade located on the relevant land belongs to koraleipattu south DS division in Batticaloa district, officially handed over to the Department of Education for re-establishment of Morakotanchenai Ramakrishna Mission School. The official handing over ceremony took place at 0800 hrs on the 30th September 2025 in the said land premises.
The Chief Guest at this distinguished event was Hon. Sunil Handunnetti, Minister of Industries and Enterprise Development of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and also dignitaries present including Hon. Kandasamy Prabhu, Member of Parliament, Mr. JSA rulraj, District Secretary of Batticaloa, Major General JSBW Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndu psc, Commander Security Force ( East), and Major General GPP Kulatilaka ndc, Commander of the 23 Infantry Division, along with many other distinguished guests from this area.
The official handing over of the Morakotanchenai Ramakrishna Mission School land back to the Department of Education was carried by Major General JSBW Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndu psc, Commander Security Force (East). The land was officially received by Hon. Sunil Handunnetti, Minister of Industries and Enterprise Development of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
