Major General CD Ranasinghe RWP RSP, the General Officer Commanding 23 Infantry Division made his first visit to District Secretariat Batticaloa at 1245 hrs on 1 Jan 2021 after assuming duties as District Coordinating Officer - Batticaloa for prevention of COVID 19 outbreak.
The GOC had a discussion with District Secretary and Government Agent Mr. K Karunaharan regarding sudden increase of COVID - 19 positive cases in the district. Commander 231 Infantry Brigade Colonel SPG Gamage RWP RSP USP also joined with the GOC to meet District Secretary and Government Agent.
