GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING 24 INFANTRY DIVISION ENGAGES IN MEANINGFUL DIALOGUE DURING VISIT TO GOVERNMENT AGENT BATTICALOA DISTRICT

In a demonstration of commitment to fostering harmonious relationships and understanding within the community, the General Officer Commanding Major General WLAC Perera RWP RSP USP of the 24 Infantry Division visited the GA Batticaloa District on 05 June 2024. The visit entailed a series of discussions covering a wide range of topics, including social harmony, religious harmony, activities, community relations, and the bond of civil-military relationships.

During the visit, GOC 24 Infantry Division Major General Anil Perera engaged in constructive dialogue with Mrs. J J Muralithaaran, Government Agent Batticaloa, addressing various concerns and exploring avenues for collaboration. Community relations were a focal point of the discussions, with both GOC and GA as stakeholders expressing their commitment to strengthening ties and working together for the betterment of the community in the Batticaloa.
