GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING 22 INFANTRY DIVISION MAKES HIS FINAL VISIT TO UNDER COMMAND FORMATIONS

The General Officer Commanding 22 Infantry Division, Major General Sanath Aluvihare made a courtesy visits to 221, 222 and 223 Infantry Brigades and under command battalions from 07th to 16th September 2022, prior to the departure from the 22 Infantry Division in Trincomalee.

Addressing the troops, the General Officer Commanding 22 Infantry Division specially highlighted the values of discipline and insisted the soldiers to give priority for training to face the challenges of the Army in future. Further, he emphasized, insisted upon the vested responsibility of wining the hearts and minds of the multi ethnic communities of the area while preserving the image of the Army.

During the visits, the GOC was warmly welcomed by the Commanders of the respective Brigades and the Commanding Officers of the respective Battalions. The visiting commander addressed the troops at all the locations and appreciated the services rendered by all ranks during his office and motivated them to continue to offer their services effectively in future as well.
