GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING 22 INFANTRY DIVISION MADE HIS FIRST OFFICIAL VISIT TO UNDER COMMAND FORMATIONS

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 22 Infantry Division, Major General P A M Peiris RSP USP psc made his first official visits to 221 Infantry Brigade, 222 Infantry Brigade, 223 Infantry Brigade and under command battalions on 07, 09 and 13 December 2023 after assuming duties as The GOC of 22 Infantry Division.

Purpose of these visits was to get familiarized with the Division Area Of Responsibilities and the deployment of under command Brigades and Battalions. GOC was warmly welcomed in each headquarters by respective Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers and staff. During the troop address, he specially highlighted the importance of uplifting the welfare facilities and maintaining high standards of discipline of soldiers.
