FOUNDATION STONE LAID FOR STUPA AT TEMPLE PREMISES OF SF HQ - EAST

The Commander, Security Forces - East, Major General Aruna Jayasekera laid the foundation stone for construction of the proposed Stupa at the Temple premises of the Security Force Headquarters (East) Welikanda, amidst chanting of ‘Seth Pirith’ by members of the Maha Sangha on Thursday (30).

The event was held under the guidance of the Chief Incumbent Buddhist Centre Welikanda, Ven. Delwita Mettalankara Thero. Brigadier Michael Wanniarachchi, Brigadier Admin & Quartering, SF HQ - E and Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.
