FIVE HUNDRED STUDENTS IN THE AMPARA DISTRICT GIVEN SCHOOL ACCESSORIES THROUGH THE 24 INFANTRY DIVISION

The 24 Infantry Division organized a donation of school accessories to 500 students in the Ampara District on 18 February 2024. This endeavor reiterates the commitment and dedication of the 24 Divisionin providing necessary support for education of the underprivileged families in the area.

Under the guidance of General Officer Commanding, 24 Infantry Division Major General W Chandrasiri RSP USP psc, and coordinated through the Senior Instructor of Senior Command Course - Army War College Buttala, Colonel BDTD Jayarathnapsc, a donation of school accessories worth of Rs 2,000,000.00 was distributed among students of DhamanaMahaVidyalaya, Deegawapiya Sinhala School, Pudunagar Tamil Primary School - Malwatta and MahindaRajapaksha Collage, Mahaoya. This generous donation was provided by Mr. DamithPallewattha, the Deputy General Manager Hatton National Bank and his staff.

General Officer Commanding 24 Infantry Division Major General W Chandrasiri RSP USP psc, graced the occasion as the chief guest. The Deputy General Manager Hatton National Bank and his staff, Senior Instructor of the Senior Command Course - Army War College Buttala, Colonel BDTD Jayarathnapsc, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks serving in the 24 Infantry Division and a large gathering of teachers and students attended this event.
