FIRST OFFICIAL VISIT TO INFANTRY BRIGADES AND BATTALIONS BY COMMANDER OF 22 INFANTRY DIVISION

Major General U.K.D.D.P Udugama RWP RSP USP ndc psc, the newly appointed General Officer Commanding of the 22 Infantry Division, made his first official visit to the 221, 222, and 223 Infantry Brigades and their respective battalions from 18 to 20 September 2024.

The primary purpose of these visits was to familiarize himself with the divisional area, troop deployments, and the tasks and duties assigned to the brigades and battalions under command to the 22 Infantry Division.

In keeping with formal military traditions, Major General Udugama was warmly welcomed at each headquarters and accorded a guard turnout. The visits included troop addresses, detailed briefings from Brigade Commanders and Commanding Officers, and descriptions of the operational areas of each headquarters.
