FELICITATION CEREMONY OF NEWLY PROMOTED GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING - 24 DIV MAJOR GENERAL LM MUDALIGE RWP RSP ndu
\r\n01. 24 Division organized a felicitation ceremony to Maj Gen LM Mudalige RWP RSP ndu, on the promotion to the rank of Major General on 04 May 17.\r\n02. The GOC was accorded with a Guard Turn-out and a Guard of Honour by troops of 23 SLSR as per the military traditions. Subsequently, the newly promoted GOC planted a Mango sapling at the Headquarter premises as a symbol of remembrance. A brief observance of religious formalities comprised with “Seth Pirith” chanting invoked blessings on the new promotion. Afterwards, GOC attended an All Ranks tea at ORs Mess. Brigade Commanders of the 241 and 242 Brigade, Commanding Officers and Senior Officers of 24 Division also participated in the occasion.\r\n
