Farewell Ceremony for the 16th Regimental Sergeant Major at Security Forces Headquarters (East)

Security Forces Headquarters (East) bid farewell to its 16th Regimental Sergeant Major, Warrant Officer I T.M.G.G.S.K. Thennakoon RSP USP, on 24th May 2025, upon his retirement after more than 22 years of dedicated service in the Regular Force of the Sri Lanka Army.

The farewell ceremony was conducted in the traditional manner at Security Forces Headquarters (East). A Guard of Honour was presented by troops of the Headquarters to Warrant Officer I Thennakoon at the 2nd Battalion of the Signal Corps.

Following the ceremony, an all-ranks tea party was held. The day’s events concluded with a farewell party and dinner hosted in honour of the outgoing Regimental Sergeant Major by the Senior Non-Commissioned Officers of Security Forces Headquarters (East).
