EASTERN PROVINCE POSON DAWN IN AMPARA 2024 COMPETITION WINNERS ANNOUNCED

The Eastern Province Poson Dawn 2024 competition, held from 21 June to 26 June 2024, has concluded, and the Sri Lanka Engineer Regiment emerged as the overall winner among the over 150 person lantern displays. The competition was held at Ampara and featured participation from various government institutes, civil persons, and military establishments.

The winners are as follows:

Sri Lanka Engineer Regiment - 1st Place

Special Forces - 4th Place

16th Sri Lanka National Guard – 5th place

CTS - Ampara - 6th Place

Regimental Headquarters The Gemunu watch – 8th Place

24 Infantry Division – 11th Place

Major General WLAC Perera RWP RSP USP, the General Officer Commanding of the 24 Infantry Division with the guidance of Commander Security Forcers Headquarters Major General S A kulatunge RWP RSP VSV USP psc, played a key role in guiding the Army teams to their impressive finish. Major General Anil Perera held a closing ceremony with other government officials. The Eastern Province Poson Dawn 2024 competition aimed to promote unity, camaraderie, and artistic skill excellence among military personnel, with teams from various units competing in various events.
