EASTERN COMMANDER WARSHIP THE "SOMAWATHIYA STUPA"

Major General Darshana Wijesekera, Eastern Commander visited to the Somawathiya temple on 22 June.

Somawathiya temple is the ancient place to the Polonnaruwa district and the Commander warship the stupa time after he took duties as the Eastern Commander. Also he attended to the " Lord Buddhas Stature Pooja" religious event at the Somawathiya temple on the same day.

Brigade Commander, 233 Infantry Brigade, Commanding Officer, 9 SLA were also associated with the Commander for the warship of temple and religious event.
