EAST TROOPS PLANTED 75 ACRES OF GLIDISEERIA

Troops of the 18th Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, 11th and 16th Battalion of Sri Lanka National Guard planted 75 acres of Glidiseeria in Lathugala forest area with the aim of developing organic compost production and green agriculture programme.

This project was launched under the instruction of the Commander Security Force (East) Major General Lal Chandrasiri and the General Officer Commanding 24 Infantry Division Major General Chaminda Lamahewa and it was supervised by the Commander 241 Infantry Brigade Brigadier Chandra Abeykoon.

All Commanding Officers and the troops of the all battalions participated in the event.
