Under the guidelines and supervisions of the Commander Security Forces – East, Major General Sujeewa Hettiarachchi, the troops of the Security Force Headquarters – East, and the 6th Battalion the Gajaba Regiment organized a Dry Ration donation programme at “Kayankerni” on Saturday (15).
Accordingly, 23 dry ration packs worth of Rs 4000/= each were distributed among the 23 families with an inadequate income Village of Kayankerni. 13 dry ration packs donated at the Grama Niladhari office Kayankerni and 10 dry ration packs were donated after visiting their houses.
This was made possible with the generosity extended by Mr. Kapila Prabath Jayasekare and his family members.
Furthermore, Major General Sujeewa Hettiarachchi Commander Security Forces – East, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and 2nd in Command of 6th Battalion the Gajaba Regiment, Other Ranks, and Grama Niladhari of Administration in the Divisional Secretariat, enthusiastically contributed to the event.
