EAST TROOPS ORGANIZES A DRY RATION DONATION PROGRAMME

Under the guidelines and supervisions of the the Commander Security Forces – East, Major General Priyantha Jayawardena, the troops of the Security Force Headquarters – East, and the 12 Gemunu Watch organized a Dry Ration donation programme at the “Mahaweli” Central at Aralaganwila on Wednesday (09).

Accordingly, 50 dry ration packs worth of Rs 5000/= each were distributed among the pregnant mothers with an inadequate income Villagers of Aralaganwila and Dimbulagala area under the patronage of Master Chef Mrs. Thilini Withanage with her Friends.

Furthermore, Major General Priyantha Jayawardena, Commander Security Forces – East, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and General Officer Commanding, 23 Infantry Division, Major General Shewanth Kulatunge, Commander 232Infantry Brigade, Colonel Priyantha Malawarage, Chief Coordinating Civil Affairs of SFHQ East, Colonel Rajive Fernando, Civil Affairs Officer of SFHQ East, Lieutenant Colonel Prabhath Halpage, Civil Affairs Officer of 23 Infantry Division, Lieutenant Colonel Saman Hetiarachchi, together with Second in Command of 12 Gemunu Watch, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks with representatives of the donor agency took part in the distribution ceremony.
